How much Free memory do you guys have on your phone
Ive got 1951 KB on my mobile
what about you?

MEMORY is 7650's biggest problem.I've eFilemanager,Handy Expense,Active Desktop,MGS Karting, Trix, Video Recorder, eProfiles Manager and 3 or 4 custom midi ringtones.

I've 900KB of free memory. I want to install Space doubler and check it out.I would'nt go beneath 200Kb, some aplications have problems then.(my MGSkarting game hung when I was beneath that level, KERNEL EXEPT.3:Message Error.)

HI!

i have the following in phone:

- Interstellar FLAMES (Game 476kb. packed.. this is that i can delete if i really need more mem 😉 )

- VideoMMS
- Photographer
- Bemused
- ScreenSaver (Pscloc)
- Space Doubler 1.31
- File Explorer

- 565kb in contacts (with many thumbnails 😃 )
- 160 in images (some backgrounds and others)
- 142 kb. in custom .mid songs for ringtones

Mem in use: 2958kb.
Mem Free: 1134kb.

454kb are saved by SpaceDoubler

ok!.. that's it...

oh!.. By the way!... i am happy with all that i have on my phone and
the memory free it's nice by now... 😃

Memory don't scare me 8)

2 wav files

about 398 contacts [87 of them with photos]

A few notes, calender entries and a few hun SMS's

I have lots of apps and wav files, and i'm allways below 300K.
I dont think that you should be afraid of the memory full bug if you have a firmware upgrade => v 3.16.
Some apps might crash, but that is all.

Memory problem aint that bad - I've Never really thougt 'I need more memory' ...Trick is putting things on you phone as u need um, especially easy with Java aps an stuff.

I currently have 1994kb free on my phone.

I have a couple of good excuses for this though:

1. only got bluetooth on my computer a couple of days ago. 😃

2. No friends so no contacts, photos or extra ringtones 😞

hehe. i dint read that 1 properly. i am sick actually today. i got bout 600kb free on the phone. if i could only learn how to use the space doubler or whtever those software are called 😊

This is from my phone.

Don't really install many appls, just to keep it simple. I install appl that i will be using and remove those i hardly use.

gee.. sorry to hear that, i guess it's because of your nick. :-?

😃

what is it that you dont know or need to know about the sDoubler or stacker? maybe i can help you out. man, these are the most important apps for the 7650 right now because of its limited memory. :-? let me know how i can help you learn more about these and i'll be more than willing to. 8)
I would like to know which memory expander program is the best and easy to use.
I am using space doubler without any problems at all. It pretty much does everything for you, it packs and unpacks when you use the apps. It is however the only memory saving program i have used so there may be better ones out there.

Wish i could take it on holiday with me, make my life a lot easier. 😃
Would also be good when i have to move house after uni 8)

Hope that helps.

seanmiguel: never thought it could be the nick. oh poor me.

I use stacker and I find it better then Sdoubler
I think stacker is faster then sdoubler
but you should give both of them a try and see which everone you like best, both of them are great programs

How on earth do you guys have so much space? Even if i remove everything bar my contacts\Schedule I'm struggling to get above 2,300kb free.

I have:

MGS Karting
MVR Pool
Stacker
Fasxt
One2Go

145kb in Java
192kb in ringtones
17kb in images
17kb in Calendar

and i've got 788kb free, thats on version 3.12 so I have 150kb more storage space than you guys. IE: i'm equivilant to just 638kb free space 😞

Ive got 1833 KB free ,I havent got any game on my phone
got 2 midi Files
about 600 kb compressed thanks to stacker, dont like to install useless programs
i got these on my phone at the moment

EVERYBODYS contacts are SOOO small!!! Not fair!! mine is 230 odd kB!

Stacker is definatly a firm winner at the moment... I for one prefere it!!!

now that where talking about memories.

whats with the drive Z (ROM drive)? if u have efilmaneger or seleq, it says it has 15+mb capacity... is it used by the FW? or what? so that means that N7650 has really that capacity (plus the 4mb) but used by something else or is that space not used by the phone? please enlighten me... 😊 or mayb thats a secret memory the nokia guys put but just told the people that the cap of 7650 is only 4mb.

is there such a thing? a hidden MEm? or something like that?

(is this a stupid question or what?)

You can't write any data there, its not anything hidden, and yes it is used by the firmware,so dont bother with it.

MGS

Im on 3.12 as well, had it as low as 400k for a brief period (a couple of hours) without a problem but i must admit I was s***ting myself. Usually its around the 1meg free mark.

Im on v3.12, my phone was at 345kb free for the entire weekend with no problems. I understand caution but keeping over 1.5mb free at all times? You're crazy! 😃

haha I guess 1 mb is enough
anyone here got a great ringtone..
could you give me name of the best ringtone..

Have a good day all! 😊
