bump

have u upgraded the firmware recently?
if you havent then do that first see if it solves the problem, if you have upgraded recently then there was a firmware which was pulled after a few days because there was some reports of problems with it-think downgrading is best bet to fix it.

OK..I had the same problem + phone being v slow.

It is due to some of the software/themes u might have installed from "unofficial" websites.. (i.e. a TomTom u have downloaded..)

Couple of good solutions:
- reconsider all the software u have installed / themes and remove what you are not using.

- reconsider all random files u might have on you phone/memory card - making more space on your phone/memory card is always a good thing.

- most importantly update the firmware from the nokia website but please note - it might not recognise all the applications u have installed. In this case u will have to look in your explorer and find the installation files and install them again! they are still on your phone just re install them. Please note that a downloaded version of some applications (i.e. Tom Tom) might not work anymore. When u try to re install it it might say that the certificate has expired and it looks like there is not solution 😞 I am still struggling with that but I will post a thread if I can make it work again.

PLEASE NOTE - It is important thatu do what I suggested: MY PHONE DOES NOT RESTART, GO SLOW OR DO FUNNY THINGS ANYMORE!

Good luck, take care of your n73 😊

i think if u have the firmware which was subsequently pulled u can downgrade but not sure.
in reference to morena84 which says the certificate is expired on his apps-just change the date back to a time when the certificate isnt expired and install, then change date back.
