hi!
I just bought N95 8gb and saw a feature called internet calling, how does it works. currently my home phone is VoiP phone, provided by the cable company that i use for internet, also i am using a WiFi router.
how can i use my home VioP or Wifi to make internet calls.
Please help!
thanks

There are various ones out there that work on the N95. I personally have Gizmo, which runs in the native S60 Internet Calling. There is also Truphone, which is apprently good, but I've not tried it myself.

Is your N95 branded by an operator though, because some de-activate the VOIP capapbility. I know Orange certainly do.

I use Truphone, and very good it is too. Find all the info you need about them here -> CLICKY

Basically, when it is installed, as soon as you enter a recognised WiFi zone, Truphone logs in and you can make and receive internet calls (you get a separate number). It is possible to also make internet calls over 3G, assuming you have a suitable data plan and good 3G coverage but this is not so well supported.

I use Fring which, in turn, uses skype (as well as many IM protocols). I find that handy becasue I have a lot of friends on skype and MSN.

hy!
I have debranded version. I think in US they only have debranded one only because no operator officially support it.
so i have to sign up with one internet companies.

(The OP was also asking how to configure the phone for his existing VoIP service.) That depends whether or not it uses the SIP protocol, and I think you'll have to ask the provider for settings.

Has anyone found a UMA client for the N95 that would allow it to make calls via TMobile Hotspot@Home? That would be great. I have a BB Curve, but the Nokia is a great phone, and it's nice to have GPS as well...
