I have the n95 8gb and im in the US. I thout id be able to use the phones 3G capabilities here but it doesnt work. Can anyone tell me why or if there is a way to get it to work?

if you bought an imported n95 then the 3g won't work...it's quad band except for the 3g part.

You should of bought a Nokia n95-3 which has US 3G bands. We in Europe operate on a different 3G frequency to that of the US so they're not compatible.
You can however operate your phone as normal in 2G since most phone currently being sold have worldwide 2G frequencies including the US.
Future phones may have worldwide 3G frequencies such as the SE Xperia X1.
