Hi,

I have a few questions that i would like answering please... (forgive me if they are stupid or worded incorrectly)

1) I have a N95 8gb on o2, yesterday i got my 3G simcard (my old sim was 3 years old), other than Video calls what does this sim enable me to do using 3G?

2) I wish to upgrade my firmware to v15 (currently v11), when will o2 be allowing me to do so? My current Nseries pc suite is not showing the firmware as available yet.

3) I am able to stream and view video content from most web sites incl. Youtube when browsing over WLAN, but not when using 'o2 postpay wap' or '2 active', why is this??

4) I notice that this phone only plays/streams few video formats on websites, is this a permanent problem or will new firmware change this? ( i believe it only plays realplayer files, i am not able to look at any sites that use media player etc...)

1. You may need to renew that sim card (The old one), just request one from your service operator.

2. You will have to debrand, change your product code, and then make sure your battery is full, and internet connection is secure, and not wireless. It should take around 15 minutes to do, depending on your internet connection.

3. Something to do with O2 specific at a guess.

4. Im sure with you debrand, change product code, upgrade to the latest firmware you will have a big smile, and won't look back.

Just take your time, and follow the instructions given in these forums, and N95Users.com

Remember to change your product code back using NSS

Sorry, you must have mis-read what i put on point 1. I stated that i already have my 3G sim, i just want to know what extra functions i will have because of this!

If anybody could please answer this and give definite answers to my questions i will be most appreciative.

you'll get 3g signal instead of normal GSM signal.

so you'll get faster data transfers using the internet.
