Upgrading Firmware on RM-160

It depends on the product code that is in your phone. I have just bought an N95 8gb here in Jordan and the product code was not in the above mentioned list, but the phone is still loaded with the latest v15 firmware for this model, so I don't have to do anything until the next upgrade.

Nope, I've got no idea how to proceed, my product code is 0556518 which isn't on the list.

I tried different product codes still no luck, this is my 2nd n95. 1st one was n95(sand) no problem upgrading the firmware 2nd is currently im using n95(silver/black) US version and im having a hard time upgrading the firmware to v20 with EURO 1 product code.

Thats because you are using product codes for the N95-1 on the N95-3..... they are different devices.

Ok so your telling us that its not possible to update the firmware on N95-3 (RM160) to V20?

I've tried countless product codes and can't even get mine to go to v11.2 which Is available for RM-160's.

Has anyone got a list of N95-3 codes?

There isnt any N95-3 codes in the sticky (that I can see anyway)

How about trying your original one? I take it you have a SIM free N95-3 as they are not available on any of the operators......

If you are changing your codes in NSS, firstly are you sure you are actually writing the codes to the device by ticking the box? Just clicking the 'write' button is not enough. However, as I said earlier, changing it to an N95-1 code is not only useless, but could possibly knacker your device.

oops, sorry, I keep forgetting that N95-3 isn't N95 8GB 😊

Steve, It's a Telstra branded handset so I think it's locked in that regard, is that what you're referring to with your SIM free comment?
