By the Grace of Lord, and with the suggestions of my friends, I am now surfing the high speed DSL internet on my Nokia N95. I have successfully configured the PC, USB WiFi Adapter and Nokia N95. I have gone through a hard time in achieving this goal and learnt a lot about configurations. Now I am here to help all those having problem in connecting their Nokia N95 to LAN or DSL high speed internet via USB WiFi Adpter.

btw isn't a wifi adapter use for accepting wifi signal from a router or livebox and not the inverse that is " spreading" wifi signal?

correct me if i'm worng

thanks

WiFi adaptors can be used in much the same way as a LAN adaptor, Using the Ad-Hoc functionality. (Click Me)

Hi,

Please forgive me if this is a silly question... But

Does this mean that you can have high speed connection anywhere?? OR just when in range of your PC?? I can connect to my home PC using the WLAN wizard when at home but i was wondering if there was anyway to get this high speed connection when away from home??

Is this possible or am i being stupid??

Thanks :con?

No, just in range of your PC. The best Wifi connections that I've read about only reach out for a mile or so, and it's highly unlikely that any of us have a wifi adapter or router that supports that right now.

Ok cool... that was what i thought!

I do have a query with regards to wi-fi though....

I can use Youtube on my n95 8gb coonected on my home WLAN and i USED to be able to use it on my partners home PC. This has now stopped, i can still browse the web etc.. but it wont stream from Youtube any longer!?!

Have i messed something up on my phone or could the problem be with her PC??
