Good idea Nyxmorph and your firmware is the first and only one at the moment. Hopefully Nokia will not wait too long before they bring out the "next" :icon14:

Hey brother, My product code is different from yours. Mine is 0558469. I just want to know can I update to this new version of firmware. I heard that this new version is eating lot of battery, is it true? Have you tried?????????

Hi all,
I have just been told by a friend that the latest firmware for E51 is version 201.34.38, dated 01-06-08.
Anyway I hope to have this great handset in my hand soon as it has not yet been released in India....
Wake Up Nokia India...

At last Nokia have released the new firmware for our beloved E51's

Available using your Nokia Software Updater

Today I connected my E51 and was presented with v300.34.56 firmware.

I'm fairly certain my phone is using Product Code 0546184 (EURO1 Black) as I changed it to update my firmware last time.

No idea what's changed though!

Edit - if you want to run unsigned applications, DO NOT UPGRADE. It appears that this firmware is part of the new batch that Nokia released which are currently un-hackable.

😡I update to this firmware and have problem with battery life. Now is the life maximum 2 days before was 4-5 days. When I tested my mobile with Energy profiler during the stand by I measured the next consumption:

- consumption with 0,01W with period 3sec
- consumption with 0,13W with the same period
- consumption 0,34W with period 30sec

The measured capacity was 1070 mAh to the died of battery after 42 hours.
During the measurement I don't used any call, Bluetooth, WIFI, buzzer and so on.
Have some the same experiences wit this periodic changing of consumption and short life time after changing of firmware? :frown:

The problem was solved. :icon14:
The reason for periodic changing of consumption was due to program GARMIN XT installed on the memory card. The phone periodically do the connection with the memory card with consumption 0,13w.
After deleting this program is now my consumption stabilize about the 0,04W.

I can confirm that compatibility with my BMW has been greatly improved. Contacts now sync, and the answer/call button now works correctly.

I have an 5 Series E60 from May 2005. Which BMW are you having success with?

The solution, if you still have the same problem - just plug the charger in, the next time when you need to reinstall or upgrade the firmware. I had the same problem and i solved it that way.
