Not an April Fool! Nokia E90 v200....
Volume was OK here. But now Web just crashes on me. I don't recommend updating just yet. Looks like they need even more time to fix the last minute issues.... 8-(
same problem here steve..web is so unstable! I wonder how many e90 users like us who got the upgrade..
I've never known nokia put a new firmware up and then quickly remove it! Perhaps they're having major problems with this firmware as its date stems back to 2 months ago. I've noticed that my internet is pretty slow now but no other major problems. Does flash lite actually work with anything other than youtube? I've tried google video, iplayer and auditmypc and they don't work...i wonder if it's nokia's browser that's at fault or flash lite itself. Maybe we should all just hope skyfire comes out soon....

I just found, that I am asked if I want to accept a Web server certificate permanently now - rather than just for the current session - when a server sends a SSL certificate.
I do not recall having seen this function in the previous release.
Facebook Mobile sends a certificate to encrypt log-in, and you can now, accept the certificate for all future sessions.

Yes, it is gone again. I managed to install the update, but checking the software updater again, I am not offered a chance to re-install.

When would Nokia get an update for E61i with many improvements like that. E61i was released 1 year ago, after N95, shamely with no FP1. I hope to find some care with it, as it's a very powerful phone.
Although the firmware is stable enough, it is not certified to work with Blackberry client that requires 200.34.73... Thus there will be a new fw very soon.

I have a question about new firmware; I have Updated my e90 ( pc:0533332 fw:200.34.72 ) and installed Blackberry Connect 4.0 - 8... which is supported to work with 200.34.73 !!!.
Phone works Ok no problems at all but Blackberry have no connections. Does anybody have any idea about this or anybody have same problem ??

Steve, I never had a Web crash with the new firmware, and I have been testing quite a few sites. Perhaps your prototype E90 has a slight flaw ?

If web keeps crashing try clearing the cache, if that won't help try clearing all the privacy data. If even that isn't helping something has probably went wrong with restoring the backup, in that case is would be best to run factory settings and start from fresh SW instead of restoring old backup
This is Euro2 (after re-branding) and for me it is not working.
It would be helpful if Nokia was more proactive and consistent about firmware updates.
Even upon the release of the firmware update then you have to search and search for Exchange and BlackBerry software componenets - which may or may not work with the firmware change.
The entire process could be much more realiable, consistent and complete.
It is really quite a mess and "costs" the consumer/end-user considerable amount of wasted time!

I have installed the new firmware 200..., and cannot get maps working, and internet is a bit
unstable. Would like to go back to the old firmware 07.... Is that possible, and how do I do it?

Same here - I saw the v200 update on the desktop software updater but by the time I did a backup it was back to 07.40.1.2. No joy!
Try installing the Maps 2.0 beta.
I do not have any problems with the Maps version in 200.x.x, so perhaps a reset could fix it.

I have updated my E90 to 200.34.72 but now I cant see any update in NSU. I just want to know does anybody have update 200.34.73 !! ...

Try reading the other comments to this news story - you will see that a couple of people, men including, do have the 200.34.73 firmware installed. You will also see, that the firmware has been removed from NSU again, currently we do not know why..

My-symbian.com's E90 firmware thread is reporting that Nokia issued the .72 for beta testers for a brief period over NSU to expedite delivery then pulled it.
If this is true, its extremely unprofessional of Nokia. There are also a couple of idiots on there that seem to want to hold poor Steve liable for "spreading lies and falsehoods" about the new firmware., hahaha

Nokia RDA has v200.34.69 since month for testing applications.
just wait a few days and everyone will get a working and bugfixed version. 😊
what are you talking about, the firmware won't be out for ages yet. nokia released it to beta testers through nsu last week and now the beta testers will take a while to test the firmware properly then they'll have to report back to nokia about any bugs found and then nokia will have to fix those bugs which will also take a while and then the firmware will be released to the public. So it will be quite a while before the completed firmware is released to the public.
im talking about nokia rda (remote device access). firmware 200.34.69 has been added in january.

FW 200.34.73 is now out officially for Singapore Product code.

Oh yes, at least fw's for APAC codes 0546002, 0546003, 0546004, 0544485, & 0544486 are out.
I've checked my E90 and it appears that I am unable to upgrade my firmware. Somebody mention that 0544491 did not upgrade. Well I have checked it through the nokia website http://www.nokia.co.uk/A4777089
And it said Latest available software for Nokia E90, product code 0544491
