My MS Duo has suddenly become read-only! This happened while installing a program. Has been working fine for a month, reading and writing plenty of mp3s and program files. The switch on the card is set to r/w and I have tried rebooting etc. I have tried with a different card which works so I know that the problem is in the MS Duo. Sony Ericsson still requires me to send the complete phone to a service centre, something I would like to avoid so does anyone have some other solution?
Memory Stick problem
Otherwise, use the adapter 2 load it into a normal MS slot, and format it !
Then you'll see if the MS i "broken" !
So I get an adapter that can read and write the card from a PC and try to format it from the PC?
The adapter came with you P800.
But you will also need a memorystick cardreader.
So conclusion:
1. Find your memorystick adapter + a memorystick reader.
2. Try to format the card.
3. If that dosen't work, it's broken
