My N95 has gone haywire

OK, here goes......

I have a n95-1 running v21.0.016 which has decided to go a bit nuts for no apparent reason. If I try to move about using the d pad the display either loses all colour, will turn purple or green, it might freeze, or the screen just dies and goes totally black.

It will come back on maybe 5-10 secs later but this happens every single time. Everything still works, but its more or less unusable. I'm certainly no expert but to me it looked like a software problem. Tried a soft/hard reset, I reinstalled the latest firmware using NSU but to no avail, it doesn't slove it.

Is there any point in sending it off for repair?? Won't they just do what I did and reflash it?

Any thoughts/ideas or what I should say to vodafone customer care would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

Sounds like the lcd may of had some pressure pushed against it.

Have you ever removed the casing/changed the casing`?

No mate, never. It was in my pocket, during my lunch from work, when I got back to the office it was playing up bigtime.

Puzzled to say the least :con?

Hi Kyler, it sounds almost certainly like a hardware problem, exactly as GSi-R suggests.

If you don't want to take the phone apart yourself then it sounds like a trip to the service centre I'm afraid.
