Why is my e90 slow compared to the n95?

I have recently bought myself a nokia e90 and having come from the n95 I am seriously having second thoughts about this new phone!

Can somebody please explain to my why the 3g reception of the e90 is so poor, the reception will go from full 3g reception to no 3g reception just by lifting the machine off the table, yet when I compare it to my n95 i will get full 3g reception however and where ever I hold then phone. Even in the same position the n95 will be in 3g mode but the e90 will not.

I have also compared the download speeds of the two machines. Using the same sim card and downloading the same file from the same website, sat in the same position I found that the e90 would take 2 mins to download a 2 MB file yet the n95 would take 50 secs!! The settings on both phones are the same, data packet is enabled on both phones!!

I cannot figure out why there is such a huge difference in performance, can anybody else explain this? The e90 is unbranded and unlocked with the latest nokia firmware.

Your help is appreciated as I'm seriously thinking about selling the phone.

hi. i changed from a n95 to e90 also, but have found no issues. in fact the GPS is much faster for the Sat Nav and Connecting to Google Maps.

The Gps connects straight away and also the 02mobileweb is fast too. My phone was direct locked to O2. maybe its just an update needed.

I bought an E90 in last august. From then till now I have seen many people complaining about this device.

I had no problems at all, and I am a bad heavy user: installing software, removing software, buying memory cards and moving all data to memory, formatting phone,...

I think that some devices have problems! If your device does not work as you think it should work, go to where you bought it and try another one... If this doesn't solve your problem, go to another shop and try another device.

I can assure you, this is a great device.

Actually I do not use my laptop, when I am out of office, for nothing (3 days abroad means no heavy devices for me).
