Are you sure it isn't just a demo? Because N-Gage platform gaming is develope as try&buy solution, meaning you can download any game (but only one level with limited skills) and than if u like the game pay and download full version.

No, it's legit and free. It's not available in North America though 😞

Yep, I got a text with a link from My Nokia for the freebie, not downloaded yet though, still at work.

i got the text, went on the wap, downloaded the Wierd 2.5meg(ish) file, then when i entered my mobile number i kept getting 'error' underneath the input box 😞

tried it all fresh, then got told it had expired

how short of an offer was this 😡

I just got the full game FREE.... Was on the n-gage website on my desktop PC, clicked the link on the right of the page stating that i already have n-gage but not the free game. You then fill in your mobile number and a text was sent to my phone to get the full download for free. (will post the correct link IF i can find it again)

I installed the Ngage app and then installed the fifa 08 game. However, I've entered my number to request a license but I still havent got the text containing the wap link to activate the game. I first tried last night and then several times today using several mobile number formats (+44798*******, +440798*******, 0798*******, 0044798*******) but still havent got the text message. Has this happened to anyone else? Any sugeestions on how to resolve this will be much appreciated. thanks in advance.:frown:

Update: I installed the trial on the phone and exited NGage. I then clicked the link in the text but this just takes you to the Ngage site to download and install NGage itself.

I then went to the FIFA site on the PC but there certainly was no link for the freebie, only to trial or buy! LIMITED free offer for sure!!

After a bit of fafing managed to get it on.

Takes a while on preparing for installation of n gage.
You need to use +447771 take the zero out got me text pretty much straight away.
best to do it from website and use nokia installer for the n gage software but not the game its an n gage file so best to download using your phone.
fifa trial for me was stuck in landscape but once you sort the trial out its fine.

The offer is still on folks.!!!! 22-04-2008. They have changed the process slightly. When I first downloaded the N-Gage app, and game lastnight, they were both in sis format, and I was able to install both by bluetooth, but now see below for new requirements to get it working with key.

Go to the link in the first post of this thread. Download the N-Gage app, install it, download the fifa08 game (This time its in zip format), unzip it, it will be saved in Documents>N-Gage, if your using Vista, check your Admin Documents. Now to get it working, you have to install the game using application manager to install the sis file. Sending it by bluetooth will fail. YOU HAVE TO CONNECT YOUR USB CABLE, AND TRANSFER GAME USING APP MANAGER.

Once both of these are installed, enter your phone number into the box on the page, and await text message. Once text message has arrived, click the link in it to download the ashx file, and let it activate the game.

Please note, to get this working you have to install both the N-gage app, and game as mentioned above, then activate the key by following the link in the text.

My n-gage seems to have messed up!!! Every time i click to play Fifa it asks if i want to delete it!?!

Ive just downloaded it from the link at the top, installed over BT with PCSuite, and got the license via wifi'ing the link and that auto activated and retrived the key for the full game.

Game on.

and just battered Arsenal 5 - 1 with Man U! 😃

i put my number in as +4407866****** so it should work.

figured it out now, you have to do it from the browser on your phone, you can't do the activation part on a pc.

do that, run the donwloaded .exe with the phone connectied to your PC in Transfer mode (not pc-suite).

Enter your mobile number on the Website (step 4 after game donwload), thelyll send you a text with an activation link. open that (on your phone), and hey presto 😊

yeah, the activation needs to be done from the link as the file downloads to the secure on your handset, so it cant be done PC - Phone.

Cheers Tonk, there seem to be so many different methods posted, but yours was the only one that worked (for me at least).
