Please let me know can N95 support 4GB microSD card? I read the technical features of Nokia N95 on Nokia site and it said that N95 can support upto 2GB microSD. And if it supports upto 4GB, then what about performance speed of N95, would it become slower in response or not?
Can N95 support 4GB microSD?
Yes it can. I know because I use a 4gb SD in my N95!
My girlfriend has an 8GB one, and has no problems with it.

...I think anything over 2GB has to be a 'sdhc' type card.
sdhc is right. i have the 8gb one and it's fine.

Same here, my 8GB-card work just fine!
From what I understand, anything over 2GB is SDHC.
I use the 8 gig card in my N95-1 and I do not notice any difference in responce time.
I do, however, notice that the card heats up significantly when I transfer large files (500MB +) to it through the card reader attached to the PC. I'm sure this is normal.
arnt 16GB out yet?
Not yet, but some suppliers are advertising them pre-order.
I have an 8GB MicroSD in my N95-1 too, no problems at all, however, boot up time takes a little longer, but that is to be expected with a computer phone.

When the maximum card capacity of phones (or other devices) is announced this is usually based on the maximum available capacity of card at the time of testing. In the case of the N95-1 only 2gb Micro Sd cards where out, hence a 2gb capacity. The same applies to the E90 which states that it can read cards up to 2gb when in fact it will be perfectly capable of handling the 32gb cards (can't wait for them!).
The only downlfall is where technology is not capable of being updated to handle the SDHC format - which while physically identical handle memory addressing in a different manner that many older devices are unable to understand. Fortunately the N95s are more than capable of reading and writing to SDHC, as are many older devices (via firmware updates or patches) such as the N800 internet tablet, and HTC Universal.
Many cardreader will read SDHC cards without even stating so on the box. I have a Poundland SD reader and a cheap N95 docking port which both read the format without being officially SDHC compliant.
