N95 Screen scratch

7 replies · 3,460 views · Started 20 May 2008

Ive got a rather deep scratch on the screen of my N95 and wondering do i have to replace the entire LCD or is there a cover on the screen? Also the buttons on the side and the top front buttons on my N95 have gotten rather worn and unsightly looking, where could i get a genuine nokia housing for it?

There are two types of replacement LCD for the N95, make sure you get the correct one.

There is a guide on N95users.com on how to change the lcd, which is quite easy.

sure its the LCD and not just t\he outer casing, cant see how you could have actually scratched the lcd..?

There is no outer casing on the N95. If you put your finger on the screen that's the lcd you're touching.

i presumed it was like the 8gb model whereby the actual outer plastic cover is seperate from the actual lcd screen.

I have had the front cover off my N95 and I can confirm Shug is correct, there's no plastic cover on the N95 case, just the screen itself behind the front cover.
