Although there are no real production units of the Sony Ericsson G900 up for looking at yet, it's been interesting to read the early reviews of the prototype around the web. Unwired View reckons the G900 should be great for people who need normal phone functions first and smartphone functions second, while Mobile Review says that the G900 presents one of the finest offerings in terms of the price/quality ratio.

Steve...there are real productions units around...G900 is out in Sweden, and some other places...

I bought a G900 last night (i'm in Dubai) and it's been out here about a week.

First of all I like the look of the red version, a little different from the run of the mill black phones out there. It's a little too early to tell but I think this phone has it all; functionality, useability with it's myraid of ways to navigate and I like the fact that it still looks like a simple phone. But I've not had time to seriously play with it yet to find out if it is going to live up to my expectations.

I have two gripes with it at the moment:

1. I'm right handed and I don't like the fact that the stylus is located on the left hand side of the phone, I keep looking at the right hand side when I go to use it.

2. I feel the operating system is a little slow to what I am used to, I feel that the response it a little delayed when you click for a function.

But in saying that so far I like it.
