Guys .. I'm a Brit in the Czech Republic .. I bought an N95 on e-bay (upgrading from a 6280) and am trying to get memory cards that the phone likes.
Twice now I have used 4 gig A-data ones, straight from the box into the card slot my phone tells me that the brand new boxfresh card is corrupt .. they are formatted to FAT32
I have no idea why it does this .. and I'm not the biggest techy on the planet so any help would be hugely appreciated.
Do I need to reformat the memory cards .. should I do it on PC on on the phone?
Also because I have Vista pre-installed on my PC I can't get firmware updates .. is there a fix for this?

Many thanks in advance ..
I have often heard of problems with memory cards that are not sandisk ones.
If you can, try a sandisk one and see if it works.
You can reformat the cards, its worth a try.
As for a firmware update: http://discussions.europe.nokia.com/discussions/board/message?board.id=swupdate&message.id=34965#M34965
Please note that the Vista updater is a beta, but people have reported it working well.
thanks a ton bartmanekul .. the beta version of the uploader worked
Now all I have to do is unbrand it!!
Best wishes from Prague
No worries, see the sticky if you havent already about debranding: http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum//forum/thread/58225/
bartmanekul .. I upgraded the firmware as you suggested with the beta patch ... not content with that I then debranded and upgraded the firm ware again .. so no messy o2 logo and navigation now .... and it reads 4 gig cards .. result
so now I'm ..........
