Hi,

this came on my email few hours ago from Nokia:

Hello Onutz,
Nokia has released a new software update for your device.

Software updates can contain great new features, application updates, and performance improvements for your Nokia device.

Use the Nokia Software Updater application to help you update your Nokia device software. This application allows you to download and install the latest Nokia device software (similar to the operating system software on your PC).

Download the Nokia Software Updater from www.nokia.com/softwareupdate or your local Nokia support pages. The support pages also contain news about software releases, answers to frequently asked questions and get more information about updating your Nokia devices software.

To download, install and run the Nokia Software Updater, you need the following:

* PC with 1GHz or higher Pentium-compatible processor
* At least 256 MB of RAM (memory)
* Windows 2000 (SP4 or later) or Windows XP (SP1 or SP2) or Windows Vista (64-bit, Home or Professional).
* High-speed internet connection
* Compatible Nokia USB connection cable
* Compatible USB port on your PC

We hope you enjoy your new Nokia software

i also got this exact email aswel but it was to do with the n95 not the 8gb but there is no new software for it on nsu. Nokia must have sent out the emails by accident

Yeah I got the same mail, put in the Orange UK product code but no update. Might be worth checking the generic code if chatty has not already done so.

...good on ya! Same here...... but I still got the text message (I presumed it was a new firmware update anouncement I had not heard of, bit of a disapointment when found out it was not)
