N95 8GB - Untrusted Software message

Hi Guys,

I have done a search and found similar posts but i am getting a slightly different problem.

When i turn on my N95 8GB (v20.0.016) i get the message "Untrusted software found on mass memory. to install go to app manager"

I have checked app manager and ALL software comes back as installed, i cannot find a piece of software that is not installed.

I have installed themes on there that seem to have a problem with their certificates but they work fine.

Any help will be much appreciated

No. I have downloaded it but havn't installed it. I did try to install emTube but the phone threw up a very scary warning message that emTube wanted access to EVERYTHING on my phone so i cancelled it.

The other software installed on there is:

N95AccelerometerPlugin
PythonForS60_1_4_1_3rdEd
pyPoziomica_3.00

and a few themes that seem to have certificate issues?

i would try un-installing those themes. i had this issue on tuesday & found that uninstalling the theme's & nokia step counter did the trick.

as you don't have the step counter i would then assume it's going to be your themes

I had the same problem and here's how it was solved. Go to App manager and look for a program that is installed but App manager says it is not. Just click remove and then if you want the program reinstall it again.

Sorry jcamp, like i said in my original post ALL applications say they are installed in App manager.

connect your phone in mass storage mode and go to the private folder E:\Private\10202DCE.Delete all the sis files located there and that message won't appear.Probably it will show again when you install themes on mass memory.

Worked a treat. Thanks for that!!!

Though due to the many card readers I have my phone's drive shows up as "J"
A minor piece of info for those that can "look" at a computer properly.
