Ive herd that there is a character named Allah in Matrix Reloaded
i want to be sure if its true or not
MATRIX RELOADED IS MAKING MOCKERY OUT OF MUSLIMS
what do they get out of doing these kind of stupid things....
well what do u guys think about this
Im am a big fan of matrix but if Matrix reloaded has a charater named Allah....i wont watch it..

Really offended there, if Matrix does have that character, i ain't watching it either!

Pisses me off, making fun of other people's religions after they can't find of anything to make fun of!

I dont like films making a mockery, but allah is a popular Muslim name is it not? If its a popular name then why not use it?

Oh no! EVERY SO SORRY!!! I was thinking of the very popular name Mohammed ... no offense meant.

Erm, I think it's taking bit's out of lots of religions. Didn't you notice all the religious references in the first one?

hmm yes true. Films have to be very carefull, they could offend anyone! Hey its gonna be great! Watch it anyway! Anyho, theres only one true religion

I think you are taking this too hard guys, even if it has a character called Allah.
I'm not a muslim,i'm a christian, but i dont get offended when i see a movie character named Jesus (He got game).

This reminds of the witch hunts that the catholic church started when Dogma (Awesome movie) was released, silly.

mockery is really something i dont go for, but if ever it's true they have this character named allah in the movie, and this character is really a good one, decent and an epitome of greatness, i suppose you cant label that as mockery. just a thought.

I don't think it would be a good idea if the name of any worshipped god in a movie for a character. In fact, I'd say it's a very unwise thing to do. But, as Switchblade said, the first one had many references to religions, I picked up on a few Christianity ones (early in the film, the dud said "Hey man! You're my very own Jesus Christ".... and having the Nebbuchudnazer (spelling) heading for Zion was probably painful for someone).

It's odd, when I watch a movie, I don't bat an eyelid if I hear the F word, the C word or any other words, but it kinda hits a spot when I hear someone shout JC's name just because they banged their thumb or they've come across a rather nasty alien.

Marius, where did you hear about this? Any links?

hmmm....u watch it Fox hound and then let me know 😉
i just downloaded the Matrix reloaded superbowl trailer and man it looks damn good........just hope it dosent have this in it

I think people are discovering what the rest of the world has put up with for years, as TANKERx pointed out they wouldn't think twice about shouting "Oh Jesus Christ!", but would never say "Oh Allah!". At least they aren't using your god as a swearword. The guys who created this took bit's out of *lots* of religions in order to sort of be fair to them all I guess, and although in total they are mostly subtle they are blatent to the followers of the religion.

To you a lead character called Allah seems offensive, to a christian the idea of Nebuchadnezzer heading to Zion is floor spittingly offensive. They have probably tried to offend everyone equally, the third one may have stuff Bhuddists and Hindus find offensive that the rest of us would miss. Essentially America has no religion and is a secular money driven culture, they swear "in God we trust" then on the one dollar bill print Satanic emblems, they don't care about religions because most people won't make any connection.

"You knew Jesus?"

"Hell yeah - nigga owes me twelve bucks!"

ROFLMFAO!!!

You know what's your problem SWITCHBLADE?!?!? Your'e speaking the truth 😃 (and btw, that's not a problem, that's just what everybody wanna hears) Or atleast, your'e reading my mind! I ain't racist! But this stuff is true!! so very true!! (i'm sure it's not in just my opinion 😉)

Be sure that this will change in near future! America is going to rule the world, not just politically also religiously...

Remember this in a few years...

Please note I am refering to America as a whole using the shown face of the country to the world. Yeah there are probably loads of nice people in there, respectful people, and religeous people. We just don't see them.

Yeah i know what you mean, i lived in the states for 5 years, lived in Los Angles and Reno, and i knew alot of good people, i also knew crappy people. But seems that the crappy people (i.e Texican Bush) are the people which are ruling the states!

It's so difficult to give an opinion of people of the same country or people of the same religion...unfortunatly everyone tends to give a general profile of societies without knowing much. As Italian I'm used to hear the same things refered to us:spaghetti, pizza, mafia, mandolino, soccer, napoli and all those things. When i hear these things I'm offended because it's not how my country is! I can give you examples of these opinions or almost every other country or religion of the world. It'not nice because the good qualities get distorted and are hidden away! I don't know if I get the point to you guys,I'm getting carried away! Anyway...just chill out and and lets enjoy what we have!

I'm an A-Rab and the media is working on making everybody hate arabs, but i'm proud to be an arab! 😃

Screw the media, and what everyone thinks, if i'm gonna be shot, it better not be anytime soon  i still didn't get my ferrari!!

lol! 😃

😮 If this is true, my country will definitely gonna ban this movie...
We Malaysian WILL NOT tolerate this kinda shit!!!

so to the filmmakers of MATRIX... why dont u take the fuckin pills and shovel it down your ass!!! (trainspotting anyone???)

I think it's all a bit excaggerated, I really don't think they've chosen that name to piss you off. It's just a name for them. I wouldn't think twice if they call someone Jesus, Allah, Satan or something in a movie 😃 But I must admit it would sound kind of strange having someone in a movie that is called God ... 😉

Don't want to harsh, but because I only believe in the power of humans(no Gods for me) It is hard to understand where you are coming from.
I'm not going to be good to praise any god. If I'm good than that's 100% for the people around me not to get in to heaven or something that's to selfish 😛 ...

Look what I found today, lets hope its true!!!

The new updated cast list shows that there is no character named "Allah".... infact Stuart Wells isn't even starring in the movie as shown in the previous cast list. The Cair newsletter got many posts from concerned Muslims asking about the usage of the name "Allah" in the movie, so the newsletter asked Warner Brothers themselves and they responded by saying there is no character of that name in the movie and the websites such as IMDB have got the wrong information ...

In these days of globalization, where movie studios make more than 50% of their total income in the international market, no movie studio would be stupid enough to allow something in their biggest and most anticipated movie sequel that might alienate a potential audience of 1 billion people...

hmph........really?? :fadein: thats good to hear and I hope its ture.
Thanks for the information 😉
