Doesnt anyone ever read the front page??

Apparently not. But on symbian freak they appear to be saying it's n95, not 8gb...
Can anybody clarify this?
(fingers crossed for n95)

They posted both on SF. It looks like the N95-1 is the released version, the N95 8GB was leaked and posted before official release. Not sure if that version has been released as well, yet.
Frontpage? Which frontpage? 😃
No just kidding, but have to admit I seldom check a frontpage, i am used to find the latest news in forums.
The N95-2 is not officially released, as written above it's only for MEA which shipped to NSC's and got leaked
I am confused on who can get this upgrade? I plugged in my phone and went to nokia updater, it says I have version 20.... and that is most recent version?
As usual, Vodafone will be the last to be released!

To be fair to Vodafone, they were streets ahead of any other operator when it came to releasing the version 20 firmware upgrade for the N95-2 8GB. Only about 2/3 weeks after the generic one was released.

Absolutely not!
I go straight to the forum. It's where you hear all the important news first.
If you are an admin and posted it on the front page then why on earth didn't you start a new thread in the forum at the same time??
HUH??!!
No way, as I always go to front page to read all the latest news and then switch to forums. That's the way it is supposed to be.

Cos Im not an admin
And if you dont view the front page, you can miss out on many things.
Thought this was meant to be a discussion about the new firmware and not about who reads the front page???!!!
Where the hell is info on the front page about new FW for N95 8GB? There is only for N95 Classic.
I welcome any suggestions on how I can make front page news items more available to forum people.
The reason the front page only references N95 classic as that's the only one available via NSU. N95 8GB is expected to follow though.
Can anyone confirm that the latest version of NSU : v1.4.53en works ok with vista ?
Cheers
anyone has this bug with the new firmware - the camera and volume button flashes when the backlight switches of. a similar problem was on firmware 12(i think) where the gallery button flashes

Yes its the latest one and since 1.4.49 it works in Vista again
no one seems to be able to help with my phone memory getting lower. Cant see anything in C drive using Y browser thats obvious and if i use the phone to look at C drive it tells me about 18kb are being used but still only 13MB left!!
So I presume when i upgrade the firmware my C drive will be back up to 120mb like it was when i upgraded to V20.
Anyone know when the new firmware will be out for N95 8GB? Mine is Euro 1 and purchased sim free so should be one of the first to get the update.
Liam
It is available now new firmware 30.0.0.018? i think that no... i have the newest 20.0.0.16 and i have product code Euro 3.
If you have new firmware, tell me which product code do you have
0549487
There are two models of N95
N95-1
and N95-8GB
The only updates I have looked into are relating to the N95-1 up to V30
Poeple are confusing all over the internet that this update relates to N95-8GB.
?
Liam548: How about doing a little housekeeping? Do a backup of your phone, factory reset it, then restore the backup and see if that helps. I've just done that when I updated my firmware to v30 (I have an N95-1, to avoid any confusions) and I got 20Mb back on my phone memory.

i was going to reinstall current firmware but if the new firmware is out soon i might as well wait. just how long do i have to wait?
😊
I've just done a quick search and found this. The screenshot shows a date almost two weeks later than the one shown on the N95 v30 firmware, so might be another fortnight or a month before the 8gb one is out, I dunno. Just hazarding a guess, really.
It's out now, in case anyone missed it.
sbc wrote:It's out now, in case anyone missed it.
that'll be the 8GB version too. 😉
IT IS AVAILABLE ON NOKIA SOFTWARE UPDATER FOR N95 8GB
...just flash NOW.😊)) Good luck
looks like my night will be spent sorting my n95 8gb out again, backing up reflashing etc
ill let you know what my phone memory is afterwards.
Heres hoping spiderman and my n gage games still work afterwards
