time lapse app

You could probably rig something using the mobile web server beta that nokia have ( http://mymobilesite.net/ ), because that allows you to take photos from a web browser.

If you can do that, you can probably automate it (either using some HTML or JavaScript magic - think embedding it in a frame or somesuch ) or via Windows scheduled tasks... Or, if you were feeling brave you could mess with the python scripts behind the mws and use the api calls to write something to do it...

Failing that, get a stopwatch & stay really really still and press the button as required... (sorry, could't resist - I blame Viz)

Biggest consideration would probably be if you wanted to run it over more than 3 hours you'd run out of battery!

On my N95 (not 8gb) there is a sequence mode on the icon options indicated by a white rectangle on a black background. Within it you can set it up for 10 or 30 seconds, or 1,5,10,30 minutes

Just to confirm that there's a Sequence mode on th 8GB as well.

So I guess the reply should have just been Yes :icon14:

having 500 pictures at 10 sec intervals is far from a time lapse film. For a start your talking about 700mb for a potential 15-20sec movie. You need software to reduce the size to the minimum while keeping max detail and of course to stitch it together.

Sorry, I wasn't being critical, I just think you should have blown your own trumpet on your earlier post. I've tried the instructions on your earlier post and it's easy and works.
