Hi all,

i recently brought an n95 and installed some software from the net on it, recently after i did that the buttons on the phone started to become less responsive, then the phone had a mind of its own pressing all the buttons itself making ti unusable, i then did a hard reset and formatted the memory card, now it seems better but the menu button doesnt work. I phone the nokia shop and they said it is prob water damage and its not covered, ive had the phone a week so would really appreciate if anyone can help. could the virus still be on there even after a hard reset if so is there anyway a virus could stop keys from working. is it worth me payin 20 to get it flashed or should i just write it off.

any help much appreciated.

Thanks

Scott

Doubt very much it's a virus as these are very rare for symbian phones. Shop might be right that its damaged somehow.
Try updating firmware using NSU see if that fixes it before u try getting it fixed. A service centre or phone repair shop should do this fairly cheaply cos it doesnt sound too bad.

have youhad a search on the forum... Im sure Ive read someone with a similar problem a while back but cant remember what the answer was.
