I love my new E71 but these annoying popup system messages such as "packet data connection active" "packet data connection on hold" "active diverts" etc. are driving me up the wall. I spend many an hour on conference calls and these popups interfere with me punching in access codes.
Any way to turn them off? I don't want to be told what the phone is doing, it should be doing it in the background without bugging me. Your thoughts are appreciated.
I dont think so,
I want to turn them off to
I know this is an old post, and I don't have the answer.
BUT...
I DO know that my phone didn't do this, and now, (Since I stuffed around with a setting somewhere!), I am now getting the same IRRITATING alerts.
So...
If I can just figure out WHAT I (Duh!) did to turn 'em on, I can let you know how to turn 'em off.
If anyone can help with this, my eyes would fill with tears of gratitude, as it REALLY is VERY annoying!
Thanks.,
Jerry
old thread.....any new news? i don't need to be reminded of every single system function.
if JerryCrockford didn't have them now he does could it be it was a change with system software (update) and might it be corrected with the next release?
Nokia phones will always tell you these things. There's no way to turn them off.
