Can you lock the MG 64 MB cards mechanically? That little write-protective lock on the backside of the cards...?

What's the difference between our normal 16MB and 64MB MG MemStick Duo besides the capacity? I mean what is MagicGate?

The blue one is the regular one. You can use it for everything except Sony Mp3 players. Because when you convert a song to the format which fits on the memory stick. The blue one doesnt support it

The white one...MagicGate supports everything.

Seeing as Sony has them, I assume most shops dealing with Memory Stick products should be able to get you one. The part number is MSG-M64A, so just pop into your local Sony-dealer, and tell'em to get it.

Yep, that's the one. Also, forgot to mention, every stick is delivered with a standard Memory Stick Adaptor, similar to the one included with the P800.

The MG version has a technology for copyright-protected material. This technology is not supported on the P800, but it works fine as a memory-card.

Might be, but it's not out yet. The 128MB Duo-card (MSG-M128A) is said to start shipping March 21st, as stated in Sony's press-release regarding the Network Walkman, NW-MS70D.

The Norwegian Computershop www.komplett.no says on their web, that they need only 5 days to get the 128MB Duo card. Their prices in Norwegian crowns is:
- 32MB - 500,-
- 64MB - 654,-
-128MB - 1,046,-

hmm.... sorry i am new here 😞 and my english suxx but i wanne ask something. Witch card is better this one with magic gate or this one without ? Because i am Swiss and i switzerland its difficult to become a memory stick duo because they are very new. so witch one i need the one with magic gate or this without ? and what is the difference.

The regular one ( blue ) and magic gate (white) works just the fine.
But MG cost more, becoz it supports some copyright feature.

It makes no difference to your P800.
However, for Memory Stick Duo, currently only the magic gate version comes in sizes bigger than 64mb ( for now ).

how much in euro for the 64mb card
