Just wandering......there are after market high cap. bat. but why nokia does not make it?
Why Nokia doesn not produce higher capacity battery?
i think nokia already doing market research bout this
cos they won't just let go a chance of getting more money 😃
or maybe they are too lazy to produce high cap battery 😃
I know its not the answer wanted but I use a 1100mah battery and it last for AGES! I leave GPRS connected all day (For Fastxt) and it is still alive and kicking when I go to bed.
I wanted to post this as well...any disadvantages in using these 3rd party high-cap batterys?
Over here they sell a 1200mAH compatible battery and it's even cheaper than the original 650mAH Nokia BLB-2 battery.
And I can't stand the battery life anymore...so any dangers?
Yeah, according to Nokia they aren't good, they heat up and stuff:

well, im using a 1200mAH and its working fine, the batt now lasts aboot 2-3 days instead of only a day im if lucky, and I have had no problems with the phone heating up or battery probs.
Thanks
Eck

Eck, what brand is your 1200mAH battery, and how much did it cost you? does it get abnormally hot or anything like that when in use? phone cover get hot etc?
thanks.
oops, forgot to register. I'd appreciate any feedback anybody else has on using 3rd-party high-cap batteris with your Nokia 7650...thanks!
Disable third party apps that sit in the background eating power like one 2 go and task man and the battery should run for 4 days no problem. mine does after binning these progs. Others like world clock and e profiles seem to make no difference to bat life.
RE: 3rd parth battery with 7650
Battery lid sticks out ever so slightly, (you cant really see it but you can feel it). Possibly 0.5mm
Battery life is outstanding.
