About protecting symbian apps... ONE2GO is compiled for IMEI

After sending them my name, Ximplify sent me the reg'd release of One2Go, and with my (positive, I say 😉) surprise I noticed it has the IMEI on the filename and it comes already reg'd, so I suppose they now compile each and every copy integrating the IMEI and the name of the person who registered it!

though the apps can still be cracked.... and if the cracker is so genius to remove the imei from the cracked app there is no difference... if the imei is still stored somewhere in the app one can find out who bought the program that was cracked...

a better idea would be to encrypt the app and to use the imei as the decription key....
