Nokia's recent game concept competition has now had its top three winners announced: Ghostwire by A Different Game took the top €40,000 prize, Melokey by Jadestone and C4M got the €20,000 second prize, and last but not least was the plucky British entrant Watchers by Eclipse Interactive which wins €10,000. The money will go towards developing the games further, and all the winners get "pre-production contracts", whatever that means. Presumably though we may see one or more of these published on Nokia phones at some point in the future.

Worth noting that this contest was for N-Gage, Java or S60 games, so we may not necessarily see these concepts on the N-Gage platform.
Pre-production contract is probably some sort of a letter of intent/MoU that provides Nokia some exclusivity period to consider further whether to commit to producing the game, and, gives the game developer assurance that Nokia will put some effort and money into such pre-production feasibility study type of work and further concept development.
