I just got a n85 but it resetted itself twice already and I wasnt even touching it. But both times it was charging. once thru cpu usb and once from wall charger.
n85 resets itself :(
Oh dear. Have you checked the seating of the battery... Otherwise Im guessing some more serious issue??
format it and see if it rectifies.. ?

It still does it, randomly while i may be charging it using pc or wall outlet...doesnt happen to frequently but it has happened once whil i was on phone and charging at once 😞

Hi, new here but I have the same problem, I have it since yesterday and the N85 resets itself for no reason at all.
It has happened five or six times already, and the phone is less than 24 hours old.
The slider is bad quality too...

hmm consider returning it and waiting if this is not what you want, maybe next batch will be better. the restarts other have said that stop or lessen in frequency eventually...good luck with that
mine seems the same but frequency of re-starts has lowered recently.
It only seems to do it when attached to my laptop but having said that, if the phone is not attached to my laptop its usually in my pocket where i wouldnt notice it restart anyway!!!
I think that the frecuency of the reboots is the same, it reboots whenever it wants, specially when you are using it or recharging, the point is that you use it more when is brand new, and, to be honest, now I use it with caution, just in case it reboots.
Every time it reboots I have to git it the PIN number and if I dont realize that it has rebooted itself I discover after a couple of hours that the phone was offline and that I have a lot of missed calls that I have to reply.
I was expecting a phone when I purchased this phone, and there is no use for a phone that works when it wants, if it wants.
It is very sad that nokia sells a phone with this kind of failure, that I think is a big failure.
I am sending it back to Nokia.
the restarting (for me anyway) seems to have its good and bad days. On thursday it stayed connected to my pc all day without a restart yet today i've lost count of how many times its done it and its not even lunch time yet ! 😡 even worse, some times it turns off completely !! 😡 not at all impressed but willing the stick with it for a while and see what a firmware update brings as one must surely be due soon
