Phone not detecting slide mechanism

Help!

My phone was away for repair. This was as a result of me trying to be a hero by replacing my screen. Unfortuntely I busted the screwheads and had to get the housing replaced.

I took it to a shop who put it back together for me. Since I got it back, the phone no longer recognises or acknowledges when I slide it up or down and this means that the keypad will not light up at all.

Very annoying when you need to use it in the dark. Can't see the buttons!

I do not want to take this back to the shop and have now fitted starhead screws so will be able to open it no bother.

Can someone please help?

Thanks

Got it sorted!

For those who may be interested, the problem was that a little magnet which should have been housed in an allocated area underneath the LCD screen was loose and dangling about elsewhere.

Opened her up, put the magnet back in it's correct place and Bingo, all is well again.

i'm probably going to make a tard of myself here

How do you set the n95 8gb to hang up when you slide down?
It was easy in my old nokia but i just couldnt find the setting just now-granted i havent slept for 14hours

You can't natively. You have to install a program to do this.
