A guy at the office CLAIMS that he had his 7650 run over by a car at the weekend and all it did was leave its tyre marks on it :bday:
Do you believe this?
I'm sure he's just bluffing, that, or he didn't really run it over. I had a nokia 3000 something before and accidently ran it over with my car. When I realized and went back to get it, the front cover was cracked, the LCD was cracked, however, the phone still worked just fine. Pretty impressive. But there is no way that a 7650 can be ran over with only a few tiremarks.
I was working on top of a building last year, and one of the crew dropped her mobile (3310 or 3330). It bounced accross the roof twice, before flipping over the edge and falling 8 floors down to the car park below. It bounced on the roof of a parked car, dented it, then flew into the road running outside the car park.
We ran down and picked it up and although the casing was hanging off, and the LCD display was broken the phone worked perfectly for making calls!
My wife's old Motorla MR30 quite happily survived a transit driving over it, so it doesn't surprise me a huge amount.

Ewan, as I recall the Motorola MR30 was a brick of a phone that felt like it was hewn out of a solid slab of plastic 😉 :P I bet you could run it over with a tank and still not break it!

I ripped a race launch accidently on my 8950.That small sob survived with nothing but a dented cover.I would be;live what he said ,anyone willing to try the theory? :bday:
You can drive over just about any mobile without damaging it...IF the ground is soft enough. If the pressure (weight of a car) is applied on a a small part of the casing (eg curved area of the back of an 7650 on a hard surface) the phone will probably crack. However if the surface is soft enough so the phone would 'sink' a bit into the ground the weight is distrubuted equaly of the entire phone and it probably survive.
