I recently updated my N81 to its latest firmware and now the phone is running slow and some applications that come standard with the phone are crashing..
What should i do?

Reset phone by holding Green Key, "*" Key, and "3" Key - keep holding these and turn the phone on
once it is showing the nokia shaking hands u can let go of the buttons and ur phone is reset to original settings and everything should be ok
if this doesnt work reinstall firmware using Nokia Update Suite

I have the same problem: i've installed update V 21.0.008 dd 23/10/2008 RM-223 on my Nokia N81 (02.01), and it is running slower than before (propably due to fancy fade in/fade out menus) but worst of all TOMTOM doesn't work anymore. I've tried reinstalling it, putting phone back to factory settings (the soft and hard way as explained in previous post) but firmware remains unchanged. Does anybody now if the phone can be downgraded to the previous version?
I guess I learned the hard way that if it ain't broken, you don't have to fix it.

you got FExplorer? mines always got max 7mb of phone memory free, with no apps ever running or nowt thats freshly turned on 😡:icon13:
