Help needed to unlock phone

I have recently been trying to unlock my Nokia N95 from T-Mobile to use with other sim cards, but the codes T-Mobile have been giving me don't work, I just get the message "Not Allowed" when I follow their instructions.

Would any of these have an impact on the ability to unlock the phone:-

1. I changed the product code to Euro 1 quite a while back to get the latest firmware.

2. I ported the number of the T-mobile sim card to Voda, so will the original sim card in the phone when trying to unlock be inactive?

Finally, T-mobile then said that unfortunately some Nokia handsets are unable to be unlocked, and there is nothing they can do about it. Surely this can't be true otherwise I'm left with a perfectly functioning phone, that cannot be unlocked to other networks. Can anyone please shed some light on the situation?

sounds like they are leading you a dance...

Did you pay for the unlock codes? They should support their functionality.

Neither of your actions would prevent the handset being unlocked (however you technically now have no warranty).

T-Mobile are incorrect in saying some N95's cannot be unlocked - keep at them, especially if they charged you for the unlock code.

funny you should say that i just got my N95 locked to t mobile and my old 6800 locked to movistar unlocked last week cost me 10 each at north weald market they work a treat with any sim in them:icon14:
