n78 backlight issues

anybody experiencing the same problems? The backlight on the n78 turns off in less then 5secs even though i set the backlight settings to maximum. Anybody help please

I'm having the exact same problem. It only resolves when I reboot the phone, but then it comes back after a little while. I have the phone set to autolock after 45 minutes, so I'll turn that off and see if it helps.

edit: Well, it turns out it's not the automatic lock, so hopefully someone can help figure this out. It seems like a bug or something.

Researching further, I believe that this is a bug in the autolock feature. I found others on the nokia discussion board who are experiencing this exact same problem. There seem to be a couple of workarounds. One is to simply turn off the autolock. Another, I beleive, is to turn on the theme power saver settings.

Iam also having exactly same problem with my N78 with v21 firmware. I have just turned off the auto keylock(was 1 min) and also auto phonelock(was set to 5 min). I only left remote lock on and then I restarted the phone. First minutes seems to be ok, we will see if it helped.
I never had similar problems with previous symbian phones that I own, and I agree, that it is a bug in N78's firmware.
