I have seen on the net that the N95 8GB NAM could be made from either Finland, China, or Korea. Are there any differences among these variants? Is there a way to buy a particular variant? Thanks.

Nokia has a dozen factories or so all over the planet. In principle, a phone could be manufactured in any one of them.
The best chances you have for getting a device manufactured in a particular country/region is to buy it in that country/region as typically the manufacturing happens in the factory closest to where the device is sold.
On the other hand, it shouldn't matter which factory makes the device as they'd be made from the same parts with similar tools/processes and to the same standards.
actually if your nokia says made by nokia on the back u might have battery or other problems but these problems could be solved by buying the part that went bad...ive had nokia made in mexico, finland, china, and korea, the best one that ive owned is the one made in finland...
