Data plan only (AT&T) + Truphone

Hi! I plan to sign on the AT&T data plan ( without the voice plan) and use truphone to make VoIP calls on my Nokia N95 8GB. Will this work? I noticed that truphone setup requests a local phone #. Since I won't purchase a voice plan, how will i have a phone#?

Also, I heard that truphone assign a tel #. Will my handheld ring if people call this number?

yes this will work and your phone will ring when someone calls it. i dont know about how to do it without a gsm number though. i'm sure its possible. maybe use a prepaid sim temporarily if need be.
