Trying to update my E71, but after the update starts, the phone switches of (blank screen) and then switches on again. A few minutes later, it says that the contact with the phone has been lost and can't proceed blah blah blah. Has anyone come across this? How do I fix it???

Hii folks , everytime i tried to update the software it says aroung 103 MB needs to be downloaded and by around 10-15 mb it says the phone (e71) nneds to be directly connected through the usb cable to the computer and not through a hub. However i have only, directly connected it ... well is there a possiblity to download the file seperately to the computer instead of doing an online update ??? this shud make life a whole lot better when u dont have a high speed internet....
I have an Orange IL E71 and the software updater does not show I can upgrade my firmware althought I know it is available in th eoperator lab.
Is there any way I can still do it ? Is it worth trying ?
