I need help. My outgoing sms icon is currently stuck. I've tried removing the battery but the icon is still popping up. It started to happen when I was unable to send a sms - sending failed error message. Any ideas? I'd rather not reformat my phone for the 5th time this week 🙄 .

You could try checking your Outbox and see if there's something still stuck in there - if there is you can manually re-send it or delete it.
i've the same problem...
no items outgoing but the icon light up.

By outgoing sms icon you mean the one with the wavey lines... like - 
or just a static message icon?
