It's not my site, i just saw it, I never took anyones pictures, I was on bango, not all sites are pay sites.

First of all i am far away from my phone and my pc and internet connection (one reason for my nerves) so i am posting through gprs wap and i can'T see many info on names, so i got the guest nick the wrong way. Also i thought that you were advertising this site like being yours, especially because there were people who where adv. Their bango wap site and all of them were pay sites. Sorry, i didn't meant to offend you but i don't like that type of advertising (which you didn't meant to do). It's like garbage-ing AAS, lowering it's high quality.

the sites aren't owned by bango the content is other peoples, and they just use bango if they want a way to charge for content. And I don't think all the bango stuff is charged for.

Bango is simply an easy charging mechanisum.

Also each site gets assigned a bango 'number' the idea is that it's easier to type in a number on a phone than a wap address.
wap.fukk.co.uk for instance is 9273825 which spells wapfuck on your handset.
In future handsets they will be 'bango ready' which means you can open a wap session and instead of typing the long url just enter the number and you'll go to the site.
In the meantime you can can type 'go wapfuck' in an sms and send it to bango at 89080 and they will 'push' you directly to that site via an sms message back.

Quite ingenious - plus you don't have to charge for your site if you don't want to, you can just use the Bango number to give to people instead of you long URL.

So AFOX, you could use a simple bango number and give people instead of that long URL you have, which is a pain to type into your handset.

Sounds like an advert for bango here - but it's not, believe me.

I only know as a friend of mine works for the 'Sport' , (english surfers will know who they are) and they were playing with bango as a test for their site and I put a link up here for them, since then there has been quite a lot of talk about it.

There just seems to be a bit of confusion and resentment about what bango is all about, it is actually pretty good!!

I confess a personal interest, I am a contractor that does work on WAP site development for Bango and Bango customers - esp 7650.

(1) Bango simply provides a way for people to easily get to WAP sites and to be able to collect money for their valuable content. They are almost religious about being content neutral - believing that content providers know their content and market best.

(2) Its up to the Content Provider to decide if, and how much to charge, and for the user to decide whether or not to pay.

(3) I'm not an expert on "adult pictures" but, having seen some data at Bango, I do know that thay have tens of thousands of WAP users visiting paying adult sites, and many other sites, and a large proportion of users keep visiting (and paying). There is a chart on the wall at the Bango HQ showing the % of repeaters, and last time I saw it it was 18% - and going up. So there must be some quality stuff out there!

(4) IF you need any more info visit their site at www.bango.net as I'm not going to tread on their toes any more...!

Just to say here with my forum admin hat on that actually this sort of thing is just about OK. We dont specifically ban advertising (yet). I would ask that if you do make what might be considered an advert that you say so (doesn't apply in this case obviously).

As for the content, well personally its not my thing. However I think most people here are wsie enough to make their own decision. I reluctant to say no we can't have this or that, because where do you draw the line... Obviously where something is illegal it easy, but when its not it becomes very tricky!

I am not against advertising in ASS, but I think it must have it's own place.
I don't like seeing on a thread irrelevant posts advertising sth, not only because it is off topic but it's also very disturbing.

Also I believe that advertising threads should be posted on the news section...
