Are there any E66 users on the forum?
I may trade in for one, I like the idea of E71 style functionality, but with a proper phone keypad. Looking around at various reviews the one issue most often commented on is the battery life. Just how bad is it, day by day?
Thanks.
At best, it'll last three days of low use (i.e., not listening to music, or Web surfing...). I usually charge it every 2 days, but that really depends on how much you talk, etc.
I make/receive a few calls, mainly I use the web, check email (I don't have push email usually, I prefer to login and see what's there when I have a few minutes.) Three days for a top end smartphone isn't actually that bad, I'd have thought?
I would think that if you actually have to manually log in to email you would be better off with the E71 and its keybosard.
The keypad of the E66 is not well suited to data entry - it is actually a better device for people who automatically receive push email and are just reading, rather than entering information.
And battery life on E71 is even better.
I agree with the previous posters. The battery life isn't that bad. Actually I have come from using a N95 and for me the battery life is amazing. I would have to recharge the N95 daily (<20% power left) with moderate usage, with the E71 I still have about 60% charge left by the end of the day with similar usage, some calls, emails, web browsing, msn chat via Edge service.
By manual login what I mean is I have a bookmark shortcut on the homescreen. I just click on the link and log directly into my email. One button press, nice n easy 😊
Thanks for the feedback, I think I'll take a punt on the phone.
I dont know how's you are all using a phone, but for me it works only for 14-16 ours from a full charge. From get up at 7 am, by 10 am it shows 6 out of 7 battery parts.
