Possibly the most leaked (not by us, though) Nokia smartphone ever, the E75 finally got official just now after being introduced on stage at MWC, priced at 375 Euros. Billed as the best messaging smartphone ever, the E75 has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard beneath a standard Eseries frontplate. Official images, comment and details below, through the morning....

Six months ago.....when the first shots of this appeared around the web I would have bought this without question, but now....
It's already too outdated, screen res for one example is way too small.
Like the N96 another device from Nokia that is too late to market.
.......then again that email client sounds nice!!!!
I'll stick with my E71 for now. Waiting for the N97 to come out.
new email client, does this mean at long last there is an html email client. The html attachment method Nokia uses is cumbersome, and depends on on-line access each time you view it as it doesn't cache the html downlaod. Even Windows Mobile does better - which is pretty damning!!!
Who said this c**p is E90 replacement? What are they smoking?
It strikes me that this is Nokia saying "We got it badly wrong with the E90" and "Here, faithful communicator users, is your true replacement for your 9500 and 9300i". It's not just a joke, it's a very bad one at that!
Screen size and resolution just for starters, no 5 row keypad with numbers on top, flat use only, no screen tilt, I could go on and on! What are Nokia thinking with this handset?
Communicator users, in my opinion and I am one, are not that bothered about a device's "brick"-ness, they want enterprise features with an operating system optimised for business use (dare I say like S80?). Not S60 that the yobbo round the corner uses to upload happy-slapping videos to You Tube.
Wake up Nokia and smell the coffee. You will lose a lot of business to the likes of that rather spiffing-looking HTC Touch Pro 2... Large tilting screen and a full keyboard for starters...
You are losing ground if you think communicator users will buy this!
I'd rather keep my 9300i. Thanks but no thanks!
Why is everyone so hysterical? Nokia didnt call this the E95. They didnt even call it the E85. The called it E75, which tells you they dont position this as a top device and there are probably other things to follow - most likley a variant on the N97.
So stopy bellyaching. Its really pointless. This device is a niche item. Some will like it and some wont. Like the orginal E60 and E61, the ones who do like it will probably love it.
Unlike Apple, Nokia is not a one-device company, so this thing doesnt have to be the be-all and end all. It just has to make a specfic audience happy. And it will probably do that.
If you dont like it, well unlike Apple Nokia has about 50 other devices you can take a tilt at.
Also, for the people whining about it being "outdated" its an E series device, which deliberatly focuses on messaging and utility, not multimedia. This no, its not going to be the same as a device targeting mutlimedia.
Yes this is just an E71 but then with a slider keyboard
Nokia should have brought this to the market at the same time as E71 but i guess they wanted first to buy the E71 and now again the E75. Dont think that would happen a lot
Its just what you would like, "blackberry" style or slide keyboard.
What is the OS that E75 runs on by the way?
I still hope that the coming day(s) an E9x will be presented... that will be a true successor for my E90
if it does not support fax like 9300i or 9500, still a no no for me.

Well strictly speaking I would consider the E75 a slight upgrade to the E71, being that it runs on full FP2 and it has a real 3.5mm headphone jack. As long as you are not hung up on battery life. Accrding to Mobile-review.com, the battery life in this is a full 2 days, probably 3 with med use, whereas the E71 can go for 3-4 days of heavy use.

Seriously, who is still using fax machine these days? I dont think any phone manufacturer is obligated to support this anymore.
