Can someone tell me if the 5800 vibrates when the side switch is operated?
I'm sure mine use to but it doesn't now - also it sometimes takes a couple of goes to get it to turn on the screen - I think I may have a faulty side switch :frown:

Yes, it does vibrate.
Hmmmm.... I just got my replacement 5800 and like the OP's it DOESN'T vibrate when the side switch is operated.
The new one is a product code 0552438 my old one was product code 0575581 and DID vibrate when the switch was operated (both phones are currently on the same v11.0.009 firmware)
Is there an option somewhere in the setting menu that controls it ?
mine also dnt vibrate when using the side switch, im using euro1 red v20.0.012
My 5800 does vibrate (v20.0.012) when using the side switch
The active profile setting that seems to affect this is "Vibrating alert" -> On.

Nice one N/A - you're correct, it's the 'Vibrating Alert > on/off' option in profiles that does it though why it should affect the side switch is another question.
Anyway - I'm happy again now - I thought my phone had developed a hardware fault.
