i tried to synch my p800 with outlook on my laptop and it starts the transfer and never actually goes through with it. I am connected b/c i can transfer files but in terms of getting contacts... there is just no way. Tried reinstalling the PC suite, cahnging computers, nothing worked.. please help.

thx

If you are using Outlook then check that a little pop up is not hidden asking you if access to your mailbox is ok - its a *feature* of outlook xp

keep everything minimised. start sync when it looks like it has stopped the alt-tab to see if another window has possed up.

Or just move the sync window over to the left or right so the center of the screen is clear.

Thanks TobyAnscombe for your answer,

However I meant in question remove not move as I wrote the pop up window sorry.
In other words, how can we avoid this window to pop up? Can we set outlook XP to automatically accept any transfer from the P800?

Thanks!

According to M$ that feature can not be bypassed. This was do to the groing demands by Outlook 2000 user concerns with security bugs found in that particular release. Since then, M$ has deplayed the latest release of Outlook with the pop up window that ensures one security is present at all times.. M$ Engineers have communicated to me that this pop doesn't serve a true purpose other then offering a security blanket to the worried day-to-day Execs..
