Podcast and Mobbler problems

Hi All,

Hoping someone can help me out here.

I had to get my 5800 replaced by Nokia a few weeks ago. On my new handset, neither of my 2 favourite and most used apps will work properly, and its driving me mad as they worked fine on my last handset.

With podcasts, I am unable to download BBC podcasts. They show in my podcasts menu with the text 'Update required'. If I click on them, the phone connects to the internet (either by 3G or wireless - which both work fine when using the browser), says 'Updating' but then just flicks back to 'Update Required'. The problem does not seem to exist with non-BBC podcasts.

I called up Nokia to speak to them about it, but they told me to contact the BBC. The BBC just told me to contact Nokia. I know there are different ways to get podcasts on to my phone, but I much prefer the ease of using this app.

My other problem is with Mobbler. I can log in fine and select a playlist. The details of the first track will load up (including the album art), but the music will not stream. I've tried reinstalling the app etc, but with no joy. Interestingly, the music will stream over wifi. The problem is just with 3G.

I am with vodafone and on v 20.0.012.

I have a sneaking suspicion that voda have changed their internet setting which stop me doing the above things.

Would be very interested to hear if anyone else on vodafone can download BBC podcasts or stream via mobbler.

Any other ideas?

My podcasting app stopped working completely after the latest firmware upgrade.
Whenever I try to launch the podcasting app the screen goes to black for about a second and then it goes back to where I was.

Mobbler is still working though.

You suspect your problem is with your 3G-provider? Have you tried connecting via wifi?
