I just rang Expansys and they say it's only available for "pre-order" and they don't have a date when it will actually start to ship 😞

Not so good then is it.
Thou it is still relativley cheap as pay-as-u-go when compaired to the price of the 7650 when first released.
Went to my local NSC today - same old story, no info on release date or firware updates, no one seems to know when they will actually receive the thing untill it turn up on their doorstep!

Still amazing how few people know that the 7650 can do all the video stuff that the 3650 does, the guy in the shop was keen to see the video on my 3650 and was amazed when i said 'why haven't you seen it on the 7650 then?'

Strange that these people are in the industry and are supposed to be qualified to advise us on what to buy???

For me i don't care too much when the official phone comes out, as at the moment mine is still raising eyebrows whenever I get it out 😉
Oh well only another couple of weeks any every kid on the block will have one...

But don't forget these people aren't "really specialised" and are only trying to earn a living.. besides they don't deal with Video software on Phone sales anyway so no point talking to them really.

Sure I hear what you say - not sure about Austrailia, but here in the UK, when they advertise on the TV they go to great deal of trouble to tell us how expert their sales people are - especially 'The Link' advertise how all their staff are so well trained and up to date on the latest technology they can read your mind and know what phone best suits you as you walk throu the doors at the store.

I just get aggaravated by this, as as you say - they are just regular guys trying to flogg you whatever they are told they need to clear out.

Anyway - I'll get off my soapbox and stop slagging these poor guys off on every thread!!
