[I meant 'contacts not recognised when calling']
I set up my wife as a contact with a picture and a rington and everything and put her on the contacts bar. When she rings, the phone shows her number correctly but doesn't seem to recognise her (no picture - no ringtone)
Weirdly, though, the call is listed in the events list when I select her on the contacts bar.
What's going on?:hmmmm:
The main reason why this happens is that you have two entries in your contacts, both allocated to the same phone number. The phone doesn't know which one to show, so shows neither.
This can happen if you have copied your contacts to/from SIM card and accidentally duplicated them.
Worth a look anyway....
Thanks Matty.
That's exactly what was happening (I had her down as ICE as well).

She THAT cold in bed then?? rotfl
What a brilliant "top tip"! Many many thanks for that!
I was on the point of posting a similar problem, about my phone not "recognising" people in contacts, but I had erroneously attributed it to my always using "+44" before UK contacts (bit of a traveler now and then...) and I couldn't see how the number mobile phone company in the World could have such a brain dead bug. Turns out they don't, and the "multiple contacts, same phone number" bug is only a bit stupid, not totally brain dead.
Thanks again.
