iPlayer 'Unable to play media clip' problems

Hmm.... is iPlayer working for other people at the moment? Whichever programme I try and stream, I get the message 'Unable to play media clip' after a few seconds. Driving me mad. Have tried reinstalling the iPlayer widget, restarting the phone etc.

I've even tried wiping the entire phone (hard reset) and going straight to iPlayer with a virgin setup. And I've tried resetting my Wi-Fi router. I am officially baffled.

Any other ideas? Anyone else?

Yes, I have the same error. I have a Nokia 5800 v21 and it shows the iplayer website but when I try to stream a program like Robin Hood it gives the error "Unable to play media clip".

The error seems to be restricted to BBC Iplayer because when I go to France24 I can stream and download and play French, English or Arabic video content without a problem.

Perhaps we need to comment on the BBC forum. http://is.gd/xHOP

Don't know if this is any help or not but i had the same problem when trying to stream but it was fine if i downloaded the clip and watched from there. Hope it helps.

No, the Download option was disabled by the BBC already, for v21 firmware 5800s anyway. Anyway, the fact that others are having the same problem means that it's not something weird in MY setup.

Anyone here have a BBC forum account and able to post the problem? I bet it's something subtle that's changed about the programme streams.

I had the same problem until 9pm last night. Went into the Realplayer setup and then exited..Then all of sudden the iplayer started working again!! I had tried anything else with no success.. Very weird...FYI i cannot get the download option on the iplayer either on the V21 or v11...Any ideas?
