Guys I need some major help.
I am well confused as to what has happened. I woke up this morning checked my emails and as I haven't checked googlemail on my phone for ages loads of emails came through.
I started to delete the emails group by group (Yesterday, Last week etc) anyway the phone froze so I backed out of the menu and it caught up. I went back in to the menu and it was just a blank screen.
Switched off the phone and put it back on. No signal this time. Menu worked so I went back in to messages to finish deleting the emails and everything had gone.
Email set up, sent messages, inbox all showing as no messages.
They were saved to my memory card so I checked everything else and there is nothing else missing just my inbox emails and sent messages.
How can I get them back I don't know where they have gone or how they have gone 😞
I had some real nice messages on there that I wanted to keep.
Sounds like the memory card went bad - it's why I never recommend storing your message base on card. Are you sure your card is a good one and not an eBay knock-off? I've had cheap cards go bad on me before.....
or you could, of course, have hit a weird bug..... Anyone else?
Its the card that came with the phone so shouldnt be a bad egg....never had issues or problems before maybe its something to do with me turning it off when it was deleting the email.
The only thing that confussed me though and am not complaining is that everything else on the card is still there and it is still working fine.

I would hazard a guess that the problem is the fact that you powered down while the phone was transferring data - we are always told never to do this, though I've been guilty of it myself.
Are the emails not still stored on your email provider's servers?
Worth a check?

You could try connecting your 5800 to a PC with the USB cable, and select Mass Memory mode.
In My Computer (XP), right-click the Memory Card drive and select Properties->Tools->Error-Checking->Check Now.
Any errors will be fixed, preventing further data corruption - however this will not bring back your deleted or corrupt messages.
Not too fused about the emails its more the text messages I have lost 😞
I'll try that what Dez says and see if that works I hope it does.
I've had similar happen but in my case the phone had decided to switch back to internal memory for message storage, all in it's own.
