After reading the forum entries it would seem that I too require Mrouterserial.dll
Could someone be kind enough to mail me version 1.1 and put me out of my misery!
Gratefully yours
SandyM
would this work for people who have the same problem but with an irda connection? could you please send me the file so i can try it out? thanks
ups, forgot to login, that was me who posted that, can you please send it to my email, thank you
my email: [email protected]
Hi Every one
I still am receiving a daily request for this file so although it has been posted earlier it is attached to this message. Please use this as I canot guarantee to be able to send it as I work away from home quite a lot
Tony
thanks tony, now i see the attachment. i will try all these steps even if i have an irda and not bluetooth and let you know if it worked. thanks for the support
does anyone know where i can download version 1.1?
Andrea's
The only solution is the one I have posted that seems to be know of. If I was you I would try uninstalling the PC suite and BT software and starting from scratch. Clean out the registry entries also as many attempts could have caused duplicate keys and other issues.
Tony
thanks tony, i just called nokia and they said that irda connections arent compatible. so they said only solution to get this fixed is buying a bluetooth... 3 weeks sitting and now i get an answer like that from nokia! i tried it on a coworkers computer and it worked perfectly! but on mine just cant get it, always get that f****** message that the port is occupied by another application. i will try to clean all registers, uninstall everything and then see what happens...
nope, no luck. clean everything, installed pc suite again, overwrote the .dll like you said tony, but no: i always get the same damn message:
please help me someone. there are a lot of experts in here enough to help me. please. getting frustrated now...
Andreas
Do you have the serial ports on your blooth software you should have a "Host" and "Client" . Also you have shut down the Mrouter progra,ms before overwriting. Seems the problem is exactly the same as I had before the overwrite. What OS are you using I have only proved this on W2K SP3 and XP SP1
Tony
Sorry gents, obviously a bit thick as I can't see the attachments in the above string containing mrouterserial.dll Hopefully one of you will take pity and e-mail it to me. XP with a sitecom usb bluetooth adapter and getting seriouly fed up of trying to make it see the bluetooth com ports. I'm kinda hoping this file is the magic bullet. Thanks for putting a technophobe out of his misery.

Tony, I dont have bluetooth software. I have a "Bridge" cable: Infrared reciever to USB. Its a usb cable which i plug into my pc via usb and at the other end an infrared reciever. I know from Nokia they say officially it shouldnt work with this kind of cable, but I saw a friend from work doing it and it worked perfectly, I have to ask him though which OS he has.
I work also on Windows 2000 with SP3 version 5.0.
Before overwriting with the dll i closed down following: mRouterRuntime and ConnMngnmtbox
@jez H, to see attaches you'll need to register - it's quick & free!
Paul
Hi
I am sorry but all the posts refer to connecting by blue tooth and I have no informtion on IR connections although I know USB devices are notariously problematic
Tony
Thanks for the hint Paul. Downloaded the file but hasn't worked for me I'm afraid, I the IR port option is still the only one that appears (the only b#$*dy port I don't have) Guess I'll just have to keep swearing at Nokia until the new software appears. Anyone any idea when?
Could someone email me the mrouter 1.1 dll or tell me where I can donwload PC Suite 1.1.
I have tried Googling for it but could not find anything.
The email address is fulcrumusa at netscape dot net
Thank you
Hi
You can download from my post above but to see it you have to be a member. Its easy and quick.
Tony
hi it seems i finally found something that can help this problem. I fortunate have the pc suite 1.1 tried installing that but no luck. still no com ports.
So can anyone please send the dll. i'm really desperate, have tried for over 4 days to get this working.
i saw it in your post will try it, thx
Just can't seem to get to list the other ports, overwritten the dll but no luck only the infrared port.
Anyone please help.
Hi
You have other problems with V1.1 the only solution I found that worked was as previously posted. Start from scratch. Install the latest PcSuite (Feb 03) Restart PC. Stop all PcSuite programs CNTR-ALT-DEL such as Mrouer,ConnectionManager, Etaskscheduler, capman, errorlog and copy the Mrouterserial.dll posted on ths forum. Restart and you should have all the com ports . You might find the PC objects to comm3 but it will still connect.
Tony
the stupid part is, i had i t working yesterday. I dunno how but somehow it just discovered all com ports (thats with the newer version I mean), and after a reboot of comp all was gone.
But i'll follow up your instructions.
Hopefully it'll work otherwise i'm at the stage of smashing the bloody thing by throwing it at the wall 😊
Hi
Well if it worked once...Yes I know it is the most frustrating peice of software known to man. But the process I have described has worked for most, and for me on 2 differnt installs.
You will of course have checked in th BT software the appropriate serial ports you need host and client
Tony
nope scratch install no luck, i'll have to think of something else.
luckily i've got infrared and bluetooth. so i can still connect through infrared.
Will let you know if something else worked, thx anyway!!
Hi
Just run through what you have done and also your BT setup and I will see if I can spot anything that might help
Tony
Clean windows XP Image (SP1)
Installed Bluetooth software (Belkin)
Reboot PC, attached Bluetooth device
Reboot PC, Install Nokia PC Suite (Latest version)
Reboor PC, Configured serial connection with Bluetooth and Nokia.
Killed all Processes for Nokia and M-router, Overwritten DLL in Intuwave directory.
Reboot PC
Check for serial ports in m-router properties,
Just the infrared.
E-mailed intuwave, andcomplained about bad support.
Still haven't received a reply 😊
Well i'll keep keep trying (I had got it once so, so it is possible)
I know the Belkin software I have had it working with that. Can you connect to the phone and have you paired the connections. Can you create a DUN and dial out via the phone using the blooth connection.
