Seems if you had ordered your Black N97 from Expansys, you would have had your N97 tomorrow:

Suppose there is still time for me to stick two fingers up to Nokia and order direct from Expansys. How is this, you can get a phone quicker from Expansys than you can from Nokia!

You could still cancel your Nokia order, they won't bill until they're ready to ship.

Just one thing, if they do send an email saying they've fulfilled your order, let me know, because I will move heaven and earth to seek prostitution from Nokia.

If they couldn't fulfil my pre-order (strange a global company of the stature of Nokia can't do that), I would have bought elsewhere.

I've been trying to cancel it but there's no obvious way online. Can't call as they're not open and I've tried ordering from Expansys (the last 5 phones I've had I got from them) but the order won't go through. This makes me think Nokia may have put the payment through (debit card) as there's enough to cover the cost of the N97, but not the expansys order (if the first has already been put through). Confused? I know I am.

Oh, and if you do get 'prostitution' from nokia do let us know how it goes. I've heard Finnish women can be quite broad minded.

Three posts in a row! If you are considering buying from expansys I'd do it soon as I guarantee the 100+ they have in stock now will have all gone by friday.

Yes, you do have to call Nokia to cancel unfortunately. No way to do it online as far as I know. I'd wait til 9am then hit the phones and hit the expansys website.

If you have website access to your credit card, does your balance show any pending transactions in the 499 range?

If it does, Im going to be mightily peeved and will issue a formal apology to spirit44

No, no pending transactions so far. I'll definitely be cancelling the order with nokia and going with expansys unless I get an email in the morning stating it's shipped. I figured I wouldn't get one as I left it so late but if expansys have them I'll go there.

This is my problem with Nokia. Pre-orders have counted for nothing. Loyal customers have stood for nothing.

We can pick up a phone at Expansys for the same cost - earlier, and guaranteed!

In actual fact it's cheaper with expansys (if you selected the nokia 'express delivery' option). The nokia order was 508.99, the expansys one is 506.60. You'll also get 30 of expansys vouchers so it's even better value.

Yeah, but I signed up with Quidco and got 75 off my Nokia order.

To be honest, it's small chips to fry to get an N97 and I'd rather pay the extra 75 to get it tomorrow! I've been waiting for the phone a long long time.

Just done exacttly the same thing. Pre-ordered N97 Black on May 22nd. Got a call yesterday morning from CC company to confirm payment but no order dispatch. Checked again today still no dispatch just rang Nokia, they said they are waiting for my CC company to notify them. On my online account the transaction is sat there as authorised.

Told the Nokia sales rep that I could get one elsewhere by tomorrow and he "claimed" they wont be UK stock they must by grey imports of the US version and that I should wait as my pre-order may ship in the next 2 or 3 days!!

Neadles to say, cancelled and had order accepted by Expansys who on previous form deliver when they say they are going to !

I cannot believe a company as big as Nokia handles the launch of it's 'flagship' phone in such an utterly incompetent way. You can guarantee Apple won't be handling the new iphone launch this badly.

Let us know as soon as you guys hear anything from expansys. It's too late for me to change now as the money has already left my bank account, but you've got my back 😊

Just an update got my shipping confirmation and tracking code from Expansys so mine
should be here tomorrow. Shame on you nokia!

do you still get the 14 day money back promise?

this is why i changed my order to Nokia at the last min (on the 16th June!), wanted peace of mind, and the 75 quidco helped as well.

it is sad that Nokia are not more efficient, and even worse that they are processing orders seemingly in a random fashion, rather than in order.

Wow.

Because it seems Barclaycard have got a problem with payment processing at the moment, although the stock came in at Nokia, they have cancelled my order without speaking to me first.

I asked if they could reinstate the order if I speak to Barclaycard, they say, No! They say they would have to create a new order and I would be moved to the back of the queue.

I said this is outrageous, how long would it take?

They advised "One to two weeks"

So I ordered at Expansys, where their systems declined my Visa, then declined my Mastercard. I went through the AntiFraud checks with Visa and went through with Expansys again. Failed again. This time, they entered the wrong three digits of my security code!

BAH!

Im never going to get an N97!

Not good 😞

Have you broken any mirrors or cursed by a witch lately?.

So unlucky, I hope thing's work out for you soon. Finger's crossed.

Got an update from expansys. N97 confirmed to have been shipped and should be here tomorrow!

Expansys offer a 10 day returns period according to their T&C`s
All internet retaliers have to give you at least 7 days under the Distance Selling Regulations.

Absolutely fuming with Nokia and Barclaycard. Between them (cancelling order and not allowing me to reinstate), they've cost me 75!

But order made at Expansys, and order is now, Ready to Ship! Maybe get it tomorrow!

thats what i thought, but the people I ordered it from orginally consider using the device for a phone call/text/or data useage constituted acceptance of the contract and therefore could not fully refund

decided to go for the safe option with least issues if i need to return it

Huh? Contract? On a Sim Free?

I think a made a boo boo. If Nokia were ready to ship my order from the 13th, if I had re-ordered, I could have re-ordered and still got the phone next week (Im guessing).

Load of rubbish.

Guy on the phone advised "one to two weeks though". Most unhelpful.

Another formal complaint.

Cheers
Simon

So it finally went through? I'm bouncing between this thread and another at the moment. If it shipped Royal Mail Special Delivery it's guaranteed for next day before 1pm, so as long as the postal strike doesn't happen we'll both be happy tomorrow..... I hope. 😉

Unfortunately because of the mess caused by Barclaycard (not telling Expansys I couldn't have the phone shipped at work due to security reasons - Hmm, never had that before), I was unable to get the order in on time.

It got through at 4.33pm.

It says it's ready to ship, so I just hope that it has been shipped but not put on the system yet.

They said I may get it on Saturday morning possibly. But, I'll hold out for Monday.
